Don’t take health for granted
by Gill S
Everyone would know me as a bit of a fitness addict, healthy, high energy and always looking for the next challenge. Having taken good care of myself over the years, I was devastated to find one day I just couldn’t complete a run. Virus blood tests were clear, no infections. Why then did I find myself in emergency? Pains in my arms and legs, lethargy, the list is long. Blood tests completed, everything looks great. But it’s not great. I can’t get out of bed.
I turned to Brenda. A cry for help. Through an integrated approach Brenda completed a live blood analysis, different in so many ways to the approaches already taken and found something not quite right in my blood. How could that be, when every test I had done so far, and there had been many, all came up clear?
“It’s a functional approach rather than a pathological one” Brenda said. Well whatever it is, I am grateful. This sent us on a whole new road (and a much quicker one ) to find that I had a parasite. Sounds simple, but I can assure you it’s not. I may have had this for months, longer, and all it needed was a course of action that killed it in 7 days. No one was looking for this, and they were ready to send me away with a chronic fatigue diagnosis, blaming it on stress and running. Brenda was able to get my health back on track but more importantly she listened. She knew I knew my body and she didn’t give up on me.
